    I really didn't intend to make this a debate. Just remind folks: if you have a Twitter/X account, you're helping Elon's empire (even minutely), and if you don't want to do that, consider deactivating the account. That's all.

    I don't even know how they are helping him by being a member of twitter.
    and by reminding people and asking them to deactivate aren't you supporting people who are opposed to musk who end up being bad people who work in the us govt?

    This is not worth any brainpower, really.

    The virtue signaling brigade has decided that having an active account at X/Twitter is a loyalty pledge to the Republican party and therefore it can be used as an identifiable trait for republicanism. If you don't remember the Call a Deer a Horse fable I am not going to repost it, because it is getting tiresome. This is just another example.

    Debian recently left Twitter because nazies and fascists, which irks me the wrong way because they have been partnering with platforms that are sexist and racists themselves and nobody has complained. Bunch of hypochrites.

    nobody stands together anymore, there's too many people picking one side and hating the other.
