They do have flavor, but it's all that same sort of "earthy" flavor in my opinion. Still, they're great in dishes like chicken marsala, where their own flavors blend well with the rest of the ingredients.

Pineapple and Canadian bacon is common where I am (and it's often

They're close, but a bit different. I've only ever seen Canadian bacon cut as thin round pieces, but ham could be cut in various sizes (usually cubed or rectangular, from what I've seen). Also, I think the texture and flavor is slightly different.

Beef Liver is the meat I am talking about.
I have tried Chicken Liver too and don't like it either.
Now Chicken Gizzards is a different subject, I like those Gizzards.

The only purpose in eating any form of liver is to prevent death by starvation. Something that would be done only in the last throes of extremism. Even then it is debateable as to whether I would eat it.

That goes double for gizzards. In fact, I choose starvation.

They are good! I live above an asian grocery so we get some pretty

Those are two good examples of parts of animals you can't eat.

i'm not sure when they started doing this but do you know that orange juice is the most processed type of juice? they put the liquid in a
tank and seal it in a vaccume and then it loses all it's flavor. then they add a 'flavor packet' which is pretty much chemicals extracted
from peels. the most natural version of orange juice is from
concentrate which is processed as well. they introduce water into
    orange juice pulp.

    Ummmmm..... no.

Maybe the OJ that *you* drink is that way. The "most natural" kind of
OJ is called "fresh squeezed". If you haven't had that, you really
    haven't had orange juice.

In the UK we normally have back bacon, there's also "streaky bacon" which is a bit more like the stuff in the US but that's slightly less common.

Here is your answer. Yes, they use the same cut in the UK as in Canada.

This message was from BOB WORM to DUMAS WALKER,

In the USA, they often are. True Canadian bacon, IIRC, is made from back cuts, which are usually leaner, instead of belly cuts (like it is
    the US).

is that the same cut as the united kingdom as well?

I am not sure. We'd have to have some UK input on that question. Hopefully someone has, or will, jump in and answer. Now that you have asked, I am also curious. ;)

In the UK we normally have back bacon, there's also "streaky bacon" which is a bit more like the stuff in the US but that's slightly less common.
